Programme: Human Rights and Good Governance
All development issues ranging from sustainable natural resource management to human rights conservation are in essence related to good governance. Ensuring socially disadvantaged, less privileged communities access to justice, common resources and existing socio-political institutions are some of the burning issues constituting Shushilan’s mainstream agenda on good governance.
  • Strengthening Democratic Institutions   ( 10 Articles )
Civil society is essential for establishment of good governance and democratization at grassroots level. Social structure has broken down though the present practice of British Union Parishad system although this system gained faith of people through long practice.
Union Parishad are not able to be developed as independent local government institute due to present governing system of the country. Shushilan’s perception is to strengthen Union Parishad and other grassroots institutions in order to attain human rights and good governance.
