Two Days Long Capacity Building Training for Shushilan- SBC Program focused on Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Well-being in Bhola.

Shushilan, in collaboration with UNICEF, launched the "Social and Behaviour Change Programme for Promoting Maternal, Children, and Adolescent Well-being" in Bhola district on December 12, 2024. The program aims to foster sustainable health practices through community collaboration and positive behavioral changes. On January 6-7, 2025, a training session titled "Capacity Building of Project Staff on Community Engagement and SBC" was held at the GJUS auditorium in Bhola, with 50 project staff in attendance. The session was virtually inaugurated by Shushilan's Chief Executive, Mostafa Nuruzzaman, and chaired by Deputy Chief Executive, Nariruddin Faruq. Key participants included: • Chief Guest: Dr. Md. Monirul Islam, Civil Surgeon of Bhola • Guest of Honor: Anwar Hossain, Chief Field Office, UNICEF Barisal • Shushilan Representative: Mostafa Aktheruzzaman, Director, Shushilan The training was facilitated by Sanjit Kumar Das,UNICEF SBC Officer,Sherina Akther,Deputy Director and Rekha Yasmin, Project Coordinator of Shushilan. Guest facilitators Dr. Asif and Saidur Rahman, UNICEF consultants. The training organized by the Shushilan SBC Management Team in Bhola, the training aimed to enhance staff expertise in Social and Behavioral Change principles, community engagement, health & nutrition through participatory approaches. It’ll also focuse on building linkages with UNICEF and government officials to effectively implement health and social interventions.
