A coordination meeting on health system of Bhola Sadar Upazila

Lack of infrastructure & manpower are the major obstacles in the health sector at the community level. This problem is further complicated by the lack of coordination. The need for coordination of health care is a global issue, driven by increasing fragmentation across the health care system. The Social & Behavior Change Project has started its journey with the objective to promoting maternal, children & adolescent well-being in Bhola district. This project will focus on the health services at the community people. Background Health systems are complex, consisting of multiple interacting structures and actors whose effective coordination is paramount to enhancing health system goals & so from the very beginning, the project team is building blocks between the Govt. & non. Govt institutions in order to ensuring proper health services which will be effective to attain the goals on health.
In continuation of this, a coordination meeting was held on 13 January, 2025 at the project office of Shushilan, Bhola. Upazila Health & Family Planning Officer of Bhola Sadar Upazila, Health Inspector- Bhola Sadar, Representative of UNICEF, representative of FHI60, attended the meeting. Deputy Director & project focal person- Sherina Akther was the chair person & the Shushilan team of Bhola Sadar Upazila along with project coordinator were present in the meeting. A joint action plan for the Bhola Sadar Upazila was produced. The UH&FPO said, “I believe that our join effort will make us able to able to invest in stronger and more equitable health systems. I would like to thank Shushilan for their extended support & excellent coordination. Now it is time to implement the plan together we’ve prepared.”
