SBC Project Hosts 14th Tranche Bi-Monthly Staff Review Meeting in Bhola

Shushilan successfully organized the 14th Tranche Bi-Monthly Staff Review Meeting for the Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Project at May 09, 2026. The day-long event took place at the conference hall of Hotel Grand Holidays in Bhola, aiming to review project progress and strengthen maternal, child, and adolescent wellbeing initiatives across all seven upazilas of the district.
The meeting brought together 42 participants, including Community Mobilizers, Project Officers, the Training and Monitoring Officer, the Finance and Admin Officer, and the Project Coordinator. The session was graced by distinguished representatives from the UNICEF Barishal Field Office: Md. Qausar Hossain (Chief Field Office, Barisal & Khulna Division) and Md. Abdul Jalil (SBC Officer).
The event commenced with the National Anthem and the Shushilan song, followed by a warm welcome address by the meeting facilitator, Md. Sajib Rahman, Project Coordinator of SBC-Bhola.
Key Highlights & Discussions:
- Progress Review: Project Officers from all seven upazilas delivered multimedia presentations highlighting key achievements, success stories, operational challenges, and strategic recommendations for future improvements.
- Field Observations & Indicator Analysis: Led by Md. Sajib Rahman, Project Coordinator and supported by UNICEF’s SBC Officer Md. Abdul Jalil, participants evaluated community engagement levels, service delivery gaps, and indicator-wise progress against planned targets for maternal and child health.
- Financial Management: Finance and Admin Officer Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed conducted a session focusing on budget utilization, financial transparency, and compliance with reporting timelines.
In his closing remarks, Md. Qausar Hossain, Chief of the UNICEF Barishal Field Office, commended the field teams and noted, "The most important indicator for UNICEF is how many children in the community have benefited because of your work. I deeply respect the values, vision, and activities of Shushilan as an organization."
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the project management team, who reaffirmed Shushilan's commitment to providing continuous technical support to field staff to sustain high-quality community interventions.
